Innovation in Healthcare: Yun-X Tek and Prophesee Collaborate to
Drive the Event-based Vision Technology Revolution
Advanced AI-Powered Fall Detection Without Compromising Privacy
Las Vegas, Nevada, January 8, 2024 – Yun-X Tek, a leader specializing in AIoT intelligent systems integration, is announcing a strategic collaboration with Prophesee, a global pioneer in vision sensing technology, to develop vision-enabled healthcare systems that leverage the performance and privacy benefits of Prophesee’s Metavision. Furthermore, AMobile, a subsidiary of MediaTek, is also a key player in this collaboration, and expects the privacy benefits to be applied to a wide range of applications to meet the evolving privacy regulations. In 2024, Yun-X Tek plans to launch the world's first EVS-enabled fall detection systems, with enhanced privacy protection, and is set to showcase the technology at CES2024 from Jan. 9, 2024 to Jan. 12, 2024.
Target IoT for Home Health Care
Yun-X Tek focuses on improving the quality and safety of home care through innovative technology. Its proprietary fall detection technology is the integration of the Prophesee GenX320 sensor and Yun-X’s advanced AI algorithms executed on MediaTek’s platform. The technology aims to address the shortcomings of existing fall detections on the market, which often lack privacy protection, have high false alarm rates, and are susceptible to environmental influences. The sensitivity and accuracy of EVS imaging technology are particularly suitable for enhancing the safety of elderly or special-needs family members.
The collaboration between Yun-X Tek and Prophesee marks a significant milestone in the AIoT healthcare sector, representing the culmination of resources and expertise from both sides. It heralds the opening of a new chapter in the application of EVS technology in the healthcare field.
“We look forward to the future potential of this technology and are dedicated to bringing more innovation and progress to the field through this collaboration. This exclusive partnership is poised to rapidly expand the global development of EVS technology and contribute to significant innovations in the field of home care.” said Paochun (MK) Po, CEO at Yun-X Tek.
“Life-critical detections systems such as the YunX-Tek solution require very responsive, flexible and privacy-oriented ways to capture and analyze visual information accurately. Our Metavision platform uses the inherent advantages of event-based vision to provide these capabilities, and do so in a variety of challenging operating scenarios where this type of monitoring is required,” said Luca Verre, CEO and co-founder of Prophesee. “We are excited to work with an innovative IoT systems developer such as Yun-X Tek, and the global leader MediaTek to expand the potential for event-based vision into new areas.”
Liying Chen, Vice President of AMobile, a subsidiary of MediaTek and a key leader in this collaboration, expresses great confidence in Prophesee Metavision®. In addition to the EVS fall detection set to debut in the healthcare sector, Chen proposed an EVS camera solution for the security industry: “In response to the European Parliament's passage of the draft Artificial Intelligence Act (6/14/2023) restricting the use of biometric technologies, including facial recognition systems. Prophesee Metavision® is set to shine through various industries and is unstoppable.” added Chen.
